Ice Cream Colors Hands on Play!
Here is a cute and fun way to practice learning those colors! Ice Cream Colors Hands on Play! Your child will trace the color word on each page (laminate to use with a dry erase marker) then place the correct color ice cream scoop on the cone. Colors included are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown, gray, black and white. One set of ice cream scoops have the color word on them, and one set do not. Use what works for you!
Also included are matching sprinkles for each color, an ice cream cone color chart, toppings for your children to use just for fun (hot fudge, strawberry, caramel, butterscotch) and individual cones for some extra play, and color word flash cards in three different styles.

Directions: Cut out the ice cream scoops on pages 14-24. One set has the color word on them and one does not. Use what works for you. Laminate these for longer use. If you don’t have a laminating machine, I have used clear contact paper and even packing tape when I’ve been in a pinch. It isn’t as pretty, but it does make them last longer.
Decide if you are going to have your child use the labeled or unlabeled ice cream scoops, then spread them out. Have them trace the color word at the top of each page with a dry erase marker (matching markers are a plus!), then have them find the correct ice cream scoop to place on the cone.
Pages 25-27 have a few different versions of color word cards that can be used for matching them to the unlabeled ice cream scoops, for extra practice, or anything you
would like.
P. 28 is an ice cream colors mini poster for your child to use.
Pages 29-34 are sprinkles. Cut out the entire circle for each color set. Trim off the outer black line so the sprinkles blend in better when put on the ice cream scoops. Laminate these as well.
Have your child match each set of sprinkles to its matching ice cream cone for some extra color practice fun!
The next items (P. 35-36) are just for fun. They are syrup toppings your child can use while playing. They are hot fudge, strawberry sauce, caramel sauce and butterscotch. Simply cut them out and laminate. Your child can put them on any cone they like.
The last pages are individual cones. You can cut those out (laminate them) and they can be used for play.
Have Fun Playing and Learning Colors!
